Locations include Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Round Rock (BSW Round Rock), a 101-bed acute care hospital, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Lakeway (BSW Lakeway), a 106-bed acute care hospital serving the residents of Lakeway and Baylor Scott & White Emergency Medical Center Cedar Park, an 8-bed standalone emergency department.The organization is affiliated with Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH), a faith-based nationally acclaimed network of acute care hospitals and related health care entities providing quality patient care, medical education, medical research and other community services to the residents of North and Central Texas. As the largest not-for-profit health care system in Texas and one of the largest in the United States, BSWH was born from the 2013 combination of Baylor Health Care System and Scott & White Healthcare. Today, BSWH has over 1,250 patient access points including 51 hospitals, 612 specialty care clinics, 261 outpatient clinics, 160 primary care clinics, 30 pharmacies, 31 ambulatory surgery centers, and more than 7,100 active physicians. The system also includes a state certified health maintenance organization, the Scott and White Health Plan and the Baylor Scott & White Quality Alliance accountable care organization both covering over 1,200,000 lives.BSW Round Rock was established in 2007 and provides access to quality medical services including areas of excellence such as cardiology, orthopedics, women's services and outpatient care. BSW Round Rock introduced much needed specialty expertise into Williamson County and North Austin. An 86,000 square-foot medical office building containing subspecialty physicians is attached to the hospital and an additional 100,000 square feet of subspecialty physician office space exists in a medical office building located across the street from the main campus. BSW Round Rock's operations include a freestanding cancer center located on the main campus and a network of 40 primary and specialty care clinics located in the Austin metroplex.BSW Lakeway is a full-service hospital that offers a new level of hospitality and comfortable amenities, while providing quality care across more than 30 medical specialties, including complex brain and spine, orthopedics, women's health and more. It features a 24/7 Emergency Department with patient satisfaction levels among the highest in the nation, Level IV Trauma Center, Level II NICU, Primary Stroke Center, an intensive care unit, 3-D mammography, and a full range of personalized diagnostic and treatment services featuring forward-thinking technologies.Baylor Scott & White Emergency Medical Center Cedar Park is a standalone emergency department that focuses solely on providing comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages.During the fiscal year, the hospital facility admitted 11,221 patients resulting in 44,223 days of care; delivered 1,117 babies and received 52,036 emergency department visits. Additionally, the hospital provided community benefits (as reported to the Texas Department of State Health Services and in accordance with the State of Texas Statutory methodology) of $79,461,048 and provided community benefits (as reported on the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form 990, Schedule H) of $27,916,818 during the tax year. The Texas Annual Statement of Community Benefit Standard includes approximately $50,630,669 of unreimbursed cost of Medicare that is not included in the IRS Form 990, Schedule H.See Schedule H for more information regarding these services and how the hospital facility promotes the health of the communities.
