DUE TO COVID-19, THE ORGANIZATON WAS UNABLE TO HOLD ITS ANNUAL RETREAT IN 2021.TYPICALLY, THE ORGANIZATION HOLDS AN ANNUAL RETREAT THAT BRINGS TOGETHER LEADERS FROM THE BIOTECHNOLOGY AND PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRIES. THE RETREAT PROVIDED STRUCTURED FORUMS WHERE PARTICIPANTS ENGAGE IN MEETINGS AND DISCUSSIONS REGARDING THE ADVANCEMENT OF SCIENCE, INDUSTRY TRENDS AND URGENT ISSUES.REGISTRATION AND SPONSORSHIP FEES FOR THE RETREAT THAT WERE PAID IN ADVANCE WERE DONATED BACK TO THE ORGANIZATION BY MOST PARTICIPANTS. REFUNDS DUE AND REGISTRATION FEES DEFERRED TO FUTURE EVENTS HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM INCOME AND RECORDED AS LIABILITIES.PROGRAM SERVICE EXPENSES WERE INCURRED IN MANAGING THE RETREAT FOR THE 2020 & 2021 EVENT AND ADVANCE PLANNING FOR THE POSSIBILITY OF A 2022 EVENT.
