Organization vision: We envision a vibrant regional food web where reciprocal relationships sustain a thriving food economy, steward land and water, and produce delicious food to nourish our whole community.Mission:Our mission is to steward the growth of a resilient local food web in Benton, Lincoln, and Linn counties by sourcing local food directly from producers and selling to institutions and businesses.Program accomplishments:Fill Your PantryThousands of pounds of local food distributed to community members through a preorder sale and pop-up market event, with a focus on bulk purchases of storage crops ahead of the winter season. "Fill Your Neighbor's Pantry" donations collected with preorders are used to subsidize local food purchases by low-income people.Soil Amendment SaleSixty tons of organic soil amendments and growing supplies distributed to 250 local farmers and gardeners at prices normally only available to large-scale growers. Community and OSU student volunteers load vehicles in this longstanding preorder sale event, now in its 40th year.Community SurveysSurveys conducted to gauge changes in local food consumption habits in response to the pandemic, and to assess needs among local food producers that TRFW could help to address.Mid-Valley Food HubSourcing local food for institutions from multiple farms with one order, one invoice, one delivery.
