WINTERGREEN ARTS CENTER IS AN ORGANIZATION BASED ON THE IDEA THAT INSPIRATION, ADVOCACY, AND COMMUNITY CAN PRODUCE GREAT THINGS. OUR MISSION IS TO STIMULATE CREATIVITY AND CURIOUSITY THROUGH THE ARTS IN AROOSTOOK COUNTY. WE STRATEGICALLY ENGAGE COMMUNITY PARTNERS TO HELP US PROVIDE QUALITY, AFFORDABLE ARTS PROGRAMMING TO EMPOWER LOCAL YOUTH, ADULTS, AND FAMILIES TO CONNECT AND EXPRESS THEMSELVES THROUGH THE ARTS. EACH YEAR, OUR 9-PERSON CREATIVE TEAM DIRECTLY TOUCHES THE LIVES OF APPROXIMATELY 4,000 PEOPLE IN AROOSTOOK COUNTY. OUR PRIMARY FOCUS IS CHILDREN'S ARTS PROGRAMS INCLUDING A CREATIVE PRESCHOOL FOR 3 TO 5 YEAR OLDS, AN OUTDOOR LEARNING PROGRAM FOR AGES 0 TO 5, AND ROBUST AFTERSCHOOL AND SUMMER ARTS PROGRAMS FOR KINDERGARDEN THROUGH MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS. WE SUPPORT LOCAL ARTISTS FEATURING MONTHLY GALLERY EXHIBITIONS. WE PROVIDE AGE SPECIFIC WORKSHOPS AND ART CLASSES FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS. OUR COMMUNITY EVENTS WELCOME FAMILY MEMBERS OF ALL AGES.
