HealthInfoNet is an independent, nonprofit organization using information technology to improve patient care quality and safety. The Organization was established to create, implement and maintain a statewide electronic health information exchange (HIE), for doctors, hospitals and other providers to share important health information and improve patient care. The HIE system links medical information from separate health care sites to create a single electronic patient health record, then allows authorized providers to see that record to support patient care. In an emergency, this helps providers quickly and more accurately diagnose and treat patients. HealthInfoNet also provides a number of value added services including assisting providers with meaningful use attestation, public health reporting, event of care notifications, and population analytics and reporting services. HealthInfoNet also provides tools to support the needs of Accountable Care Organizations such as member aggregation services and predictive modeling solutions.
