From September 2024 through August 2025, Jersey City Theater Center (JCTC) delivered afull year of performances and arts education programs in Jersey City Public Schools and HudsonCounty schools and colleges. Our Global Arts Education and Youth Theatre programs providedongoing in-school and after-school theatre, writing, and performance classes, culminating instudent showcases for families and community. We had incredible success with our GlobalMusic Series, including an international residency with 16 artists from Spain, England, Canada,Argentina, and other countries who collaborated to create and present new works at JCTC. OurNew Play Festival was also a major artistic and audience success. During this period, JCTCentered into a contract to potentially build a new performing arts center in Jersey City and secureboth the contract and conceptual design.
