For the Future, Inc. is a California non-profit organization. For the Future Group Home is a non-profit organization, which provides twenty-four hour non-medical care and supervision to residents in a structured, therapeutic based environment. Services are provided by Child Care Counselors and Clinical Social Workers employed by For the Future. For the Future staff are responsible for all aspects of the care and supervision of the residents entrusted to them, which includes: activities of daily living (ADL), independent living skills training, personal care, psychosocial and emotional needs and oversight.Located in Ventura County, For the Future has all the necessary accommodations to meet the needs of six residents. Our organizations main purpose is to assist in the rehabilitation of our residents through a therapeutic based approach. We provide a structured environment based upon both basic behavioral principles while integrating it with psychosocial counseling and exemplary treatment & care, which includes: therapy (individual, group & family), role modeling, developmental counseling, crisis counseling, re-directing, de-escalation and providing positive experiences in a supportive environment.For the Future is a placement for individuals who identify as female and are between the ages of 13 and 17. For the Future provides twenty-four awake hours of residential care in three shifts. Residents are dependents or wards of the court in six California Counties, referred and placed by Department of Children and Family Services, Probation Department or Behavioral Health. The facility is a 1600 square foot, 4 bedroom, 2 bath house located in a residential community in the City of Simi Valley. The six-bed facility is maintained at the highest level and standards expected of a family-like dwelling. Each resident shares a bedroom with one roommate. During the fiscal year 2023/2024, the Organization provided approximately 1730 days of services to eleven youth.
