Our organizations main purpose is to assist in the rehabilitation of our residents through a therapeutic based approach. We provide a structured environment based upon both basic behavioral principles while integrating it with psychosocial counseling and exemplary treatment & care, which includes: therapy (individual, group & family), role modeling, developmental counseling, crisis counseling, re-directing, de-escalation and providing positive experiences in a supportive environment.For the Future is a placement for individuals who identify as female and are between the ages of 13 and 17. For the Future provides twenty-four awake hours of residential care in three shifts. Residents are dependents or wards of the court in six California Counties, referred and placed by Department of Children and Family Services, Probation Department or Behavioral Health. The facility is a 1600 square foot, 4 bedroom, 2 bath house located in a residential community in the City of Simi Valley. The six-bed facility is maintained at the highest level and standards expected of a family-like dwelling. Each resident shares a bedroom with one roommate. During the fiscal year 2023/2024, the Organization provided approximately 1730 days of services to eleven youth.
