Ghetto Youths Foundation provides year-round, ongoing help and assistance to communities in need across the world. Our social impact programs are focused on four main areas of intervention Education, Health & Wellness, Elderly Support, and Community-Building.Currently, our outreach work in Jamaica is centered around two long-term projects: Cornerstone Learning Center and the Rita Marley Girls Center. Cornerstone Learning Center provides free after-school remedial intervention in reading and math for middle school-aged children from the Trench Town community. The Rita Marley Girls Center is envisioned to support teen mothers from Trench Town who may have dropped out of school, or those young women vulnerable to teen pregnancy and educational interruptions. In addition, the foundation provides ad hoc support for medical and funeral expenses as requested by under-resourced community members.

Hurricane Melissa Relief:In partnership with Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) -- the leading global disaster relief agency, Ghetto Youths Foundation has committed to the rebuilding of 100 roofs, across three parishes. This work began in St. Elizabeth during the second week of December, and has continued throughout the holiday season and now, well into the new year. In the aftermath of the storm, we have delivered life-saving aid, performing essential roof repairs and contributing to long-term recovery efforts.

Haile Selassie High School:In 1966, Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia visited Jamaica and gifted the country with a school -- the Haile Selassie High School. Nearly 60 years later, this historic institution has fallen into great disrepair, including a lack of bathrooms for the more than 300 students; a roof which is damaged 60% of the school; missing windows; desks and chairs that are broken and damaged; a lack of wifi, printers, and computers. Ghetto Youths Foundation has pledged support for the school, beginning with the renovation of the first set of bathrooms, completed this year.
