One of our Volunteer licensed medical doctors is qualified to train not only lay persons but also other licensed medical professionals to use lifestyle medicine in their practice. This is a blessing to the community as well as to many medical professionals. Fees for training less expenses are given to the non-profit to continue to operate the ministry. The training includes both didactic as well as hands-on training. The trainee is able to see clients with the board-certified lifestyle medicine physician and then apply the knowledge under his/her supervision and become proficient so that when training is successfully completed, the trainee is prepared to sit for their board exams in Lifestyle Medicine. One Family Practice physician came for training this year and was so thrilled with what she learned and experienced that she returned home and sought out a facility where she could conduct lifestyle health programs in her area and continues to do this, as well as combining lifestyle medicine into her family practice.
