THE INSTITUTE'S PRIMARY ACTIVITIES ARE: A) TO ACQUIRE, OWN AND OPERATE AN APPROXIMATELY 104,927 SQUARE FOOT CORE LABORATORY FACILITY TO PROMOTE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT THAT WILL SUPPORT ADVANCES IN HUMAN NUTRITION, HUMAN HEALTH, AGRICULTURAL CROPS, SYSTEMS AND GROWING PROCESSES AND THE PRODUCTION OF HEALTHFUL FOODS AND OTHER SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH; B) TO ASSIST THE SUPPORTED ORGANIZATIONS; AND C) TO PERFORM SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH (INCLUDING PROCESS DEVELOPMENT RESEARCH) IN SUPPORT OF ONE OR MORE OF THE SUPPORTED ORGANIZATIONS.
