In 2023, Brother Wolf placed 1585 animals into adoptive homes. These animals come to Brother Wolf from families who can no longer care for them (40% of intakes) and from overcrowded shelters in the Western NC region (60% of intakes) where animals face euthanasia simply due to space constraints. In 2023, Brother Wolf transferred in 907 animals from overcrowded shelter partners. In addition, Brother Wolf took in 746 animals from members of our community who were no longer able to keep and/or provide for their animals.

Fostering Brother Wolf Animal Rescues robust fostering program, which consisted of 273 active volunteer foster homes in 2023, enables the organization to increase its lifesaving capacity by caring for a large number of animals in a home setting.
