THE ARC OF NEW JERSEY, ON BEHALF OF ALL INDIVIDUALS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES, WILL: SECURE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR THEM TO CHOOSE AND REALIZE THEIR INDIVIDUAL GOALS; TAKE A LEADERSHIP POSITION IN DEVELOPING PUBLIC POLICY, LAWS AND REGULATIONS AND SERVE AS PUBLIC SPOKESPERSON AND ADVOCATE FOR THIS CONSTITUENCY; REDUCE THE INCIDENCE AND LIMIT THE CONSEQUENCE OF INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES THROUGH ADVOCACY, EDUCATION, RESEARCH AND PREVENTION ACTIVITIES; ENHANCE THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE, THEREBY IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THEIR FAMILIES; AND DEVELOP AND FOSTER PROGRAMS, SERVICES AND SUPPORTS, AND WORK WITH LOCAL CHAPTERS AND THE ARC OF THE UNITED STATES TO CARRY OUT OUR GOALS.
