Counseling Service provides individuals couples and families with affordable professional psychotherapy services addressing a wide range of issues. Goals are to assist program participants with the ability to utilize their families as a resource and source of support; to provide community residents with alternative methods of solving individual relationship and family problems; to strengthen community ties and to enhance the daily functioning of individuals couples and families. A sliding scale fee is available for some services while other funded services are provided without a fee. For this fiscal year we provided 7523 units of hourly sessions to 676 unduplicated clients. The counseling service is open from 9AM to 5PM Mondays and Fridays and 9AM to 9PM Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays. Please note that since the Covid 19 we have continued to offer services both in-person and virtually depending on the clients needs and preferences.

Family Support Services and Human Concerns operates the Food Pantry and emergency assistance to the public. It also provides an extensive variety of programs intended to assist families with reunification and prevent child abuse and neglect. Family counseling Parenting and Case management is offered in the clients homes in both English and Spanish. Anger management and Parenting classes are offered throughout Ocean County. The Auto Ownership Program assists those in need of transportation to find employment. When possible the programs listed will work together to provide a total service that exceeds what any program could on its own. In Home visits and certain other services are being provided virtually when possible.

Children Services operates a preschool and a summer camp with high quality developmentally appropriate programs for children aged 13 months to thirteen years old in a safe and nurturing environment. The preschool is a 4 Star Rated Grow NJ Kids Program. Our goals are to promote educational emotional and social development of children while meeting the needs of their families and to employ and retain staff that are well-trained in early childhood education. The preschool serves 60 children children on a typical day and the summer vacation club serves about 80.
