The Cape May Shelter Society provided a No Kill facility for animals in need. We improve the lives of animals in need through our sheltering and adoption center. In 2024 we spent 44,826 on upgrades to our shelter with improvements made to solar invertors, heating and coolinng, security system, and septic. We additionaly spent in 2024 43,,354 on veterinary care and for medical supplies of our animals and animals needing medical assistance within our local commumity. In 2025 we made additional upgrades to the interior and exterior of the shelter which included conversion of existing lighting, solar lighting, dog agility equipment, and upgrades to the fire alarm system. These upgrades totaled over 25,570. In addition in 2025 we spent over 71,156 on animal food/supplies and veterinary care. In the past five years we have spent over 625,000 on shelter improvements, The humane and compassionate treatment of cats and dogs is a primary objective within our mission We additionly provide education to those within our local community to promote community awareness.
