MORE THAN 10,000 CHILDREN FROM INNER CITY NEIGHBORHOODS VISIT THE ARBORETUM AND PARTICIPATE IN OUR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND CAMPS EACH YEAR. OUR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOCUS ON ENVIRONMENTAL LITERACY AND AWARENESS, AND OFFER CHILDREN AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT SUCH CONCEPTS AS ADAPTAION, HABITATS, DECOMPOSITION, WETLANDS AND FOOD PRODUCTION.
