Each season, PCMS presents at least 50 concerts by leading international chamber ensembles and recitalists, artists who would otherwise not appear in this city. The concerts feature a rich diversity of works spanning five centures, including world premieres and other works by living composers. We maintain a policy of affordable ticket pricing to enable access by people of all ages and from all walks of life. As in other years live streaming was once again provided at no charge, on a pay-what-you-wish basis. Since 1986, PCMS has presented over 2,050 concerts, playing a major role in introducing under-represented musicians and enriching this city as a leading performing arts center.

Many of PCMS eminent artists also mentor and inspire Philadelphia students through some 25 annual master classes and childrens events held in partnerships with area schools and nonprofits, and offered without charge. We also provide free pre-concert lectures, and free and discounted student tickets. This year, because of the pandemic, our educational and outreach events were held online.
