The Camden Conference, a 501(c)(3) organization located in Midcoast Maine, is a foreign affairs citizens conference in the U.S. Its mission is to foster informed discourse on world issues. An annual 3-day conference held each February in Camden focuses on a different topic each year. Now in its 38th year, the Conference has become a Maine tradition that offers an opportunity to learn from and engage with leading experts on vital global issues. The Camden Conference is primarily volunteer-driven with two paid staff, and relies on volunteers who create and sustain its year-round programs and the Conference weekend. The 2024 Camden Conference was held live from the Camden Opera House and also live-streamed to venues in Rockland and Portland as well as to homes and classrooms around the world. The Camden Conference also offers a robust program of free community events throughout the year offered to live and virtual audiences and the organization offers both high school and college student education programs throughout the year based on the annual conference theme.
