In 2024, Theatre of Northeastern CT was successful in meeting and exceeding our goal of raising $50K in our Historic Revitalization capital campaign. The campaign funded a complete renovation of our concessions area, which has improved storage needs, traffic flow and efficiency, enhancing the customer experience. The remaining funds from the campaign are being used to purchase a digital projector, which is in the process of being ordered now. We were able to present 6 main season theatrical productions and 3 co-productions with The Complex Performing Arts Center, in addition to 2 concerts and educational programs. We reinstated a student performance for our production of The Crucible, bringing nearly four hundred students in from multiple area schools. We made countless improvements to processes and updated critical procedures. Several TNECT members participated in a training program, which earned them CPR certification, and the theater purchased a defibrillator, to ensure that we are prepared to handle a wide variety of medical emergencies. Ultimately, we were able to achieve many of our objectives, and ended the year with a profit.
