THE AGENCY ACCOMPLISHES THIS THROUGH FOUR MAJOR PROGRAMS:1) COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES- ENSURING ACCESS TO AFFORDABLE, QUALITY HEALTHCARE AND SUPPORT SERVICES BY HELPING INDIVIDUALS ACCESS AND NAVIGATE THE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM.2) THE FOOD AND HEALTH NETWORK- WORK TO INCREASE THE CONSUMPTION OF HEALTHY, LOCALLY GROWN FOOD THROUGHOUT THE REGION,3) GETTHERE- PROGRAM SERVES FIVE COUNTIES AND OPERATES A TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION AND ASSISTANCE CALL CENTER THAT WORKS TO HELP THOSE WITH TRANSPORTATION NEEDS TO FIND WORKABLE, AFFORDABLE SOLUTIONS,4) RURAL HEALTH SERVICE CORPS- PROVIDER OF NATIONAL SERVICE PROGRAMMING FOR OVER TEN YEARS. AMERICORPS AND AMERICORPS VISTA NATIONAL SERVICE PROVIDE INDIVIDUALS WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE THEIR COMMUNITY FOR UP TO ONE YEAR. SPECIFIC AREAS OF SERVICE INCLUDE IMPROVING NUTRITION AND FOOD SECURITY,AND PUBLIC HEALTH.
