Mission

The American Vegan Society (AVS) promotes a compassionate, sustainable lifestyle through eating an entirely plant-sourced diet and finding alternatives to animal products in clothing and commodities. AVS is guided by the doctrines of Ahimsa (non-slaughter, non-violence) and Reverence for Life, and provides community to those striving to follow and learn about this way of life.

We impart and share information on compassionate living including practical demonstrations of what to eat and wear, general health guidance, distributing printed/media info, and more.
