SHELTER OPERATIONS: THE ORGANIZATION OFFERS TEMPORARY SHELTER TO ANIMALS IN NEED, PROVIDES ADOPTION SERVICES FOR THOUSANDS OF ANIMALS, AND EMERGENCY AND DISASTER RELIEF REGIONALLY AND NATIONALLY. IN 2024, SPIKE'S PET FOOD PANTRY DISTRIBUTED ALMOST 500,000 POUNDS OF FOOD TO CLIENTS IN BERKS AND LANCASTER. HUMANE ALSO STARTED AFFORDABLE BOARDING SERVICES IN THE SPRING OF 2024 AT BOTH READING AND LANCASTER FACILITIES IN LINE WITH OUR MISSION TO PROVIDE MEANINGFUL ACCESS TO SERVICES FOR THE COMMUNITIES WE SERVE.
