SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK OF LEHIGH VALLEY AND NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIADISTRIBUTED 15.9 MILLION POUNDS OF FOOD TO OUR NETWORK OF MORE THAN 200 NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTIES OF CARBON, LEHIGH, MONROE, NORTHAMPTON, PIKE AND WAYNE, COMPLEMENTING THEIR EFFORTS TO PROVIDE FOOD ASSISTANCE TO MORE THAN 89,300 INDIVIDUALS EACH MONTH. DISTRIBUTED 13,219,733 MEALS ACROSS OUR SIX-COUNTY SERVICE AREA. DISTRIBUTED 29,100 BOXES OF NUTRITIOUS FOOD TO SENIORS THROUGH THE PA SENIOR FOOD BOX PROGRAM. DISTRIBUTED 6.8 MILLION POUNDS OF FRESH PRODUCE, DAIRY, AND PERISHABLE PROTEINS. SERVED MORE THAN 500 MILITARY FAMILIES PER MONTH THROUGH OUR MILITARYSHARE FOOD BOX PROGRAM. ON AVERAGE, PROVIDED FOOD TO 87,030 INDIVIDUALS MONTHLY, INCLUDING 24,100 CHILDREN AND 14,000 SENIORS. THROUGH THE SEED FARM PROGRAM, 6 FARMERS UTILIZED THE FARM BUSINESS INCUBATOR, TOTALING 8.3 LEASED ACRES. OFFERED 5 EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS WITH 6 GUEST TRAINERS TO 75 ATTENDEES. SOLD 18,000 ORGANIC TRANSPLANTS AT SPRING AND FALL PLANT SALES. DONATED 2,700 TRANSPLANTS TO 14 COMMUNITY GROUPS.
