Daemion Counseling Center, Inc. gives hope one hour at a time. We work tirelessly to restore hope in those feeling hopeless, to support those feeling helpless, and to change the outcomes for people dealing with anger, trauma, stress, depression, anxiety, grief, and loss, among other life transitions and challenges. We carry out our mission by providing professional, affordable mental health counseling to individuals, couples, and families, from age 14 to seniors, with a caring, nonjudgmental , and solution-based approach. We are equally committed to community outreach and education, reducing the stigma associated with mental health care and increasing access to local counseling and support groups for individuals and families in need. Clients receive a free telephone consult and typically can see a therapist within two to three days. With more than 50 years of professional support to the local community, our services have evolved to include Drug and Alcohol evaluation, Anger Management evaluation and counseling, COVID-19 related diagnoses, such as languishing, grief and loss, isolation and parenting issues surrounding the ongoing pandemic. We continue seeing clients vitually, and we will see vaccinated clients in person following the CDC guidelines. Our goal is to help clients heighten their self-awareness, so that they are equipped to make more effective, protective life choices and to improve their ability to cope with daily, as well as unexpected stresses. Our therapists help clients' process developmental and trauma-related experiences that shape how they process the world and relate to others by exploring their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to identify opportunities for growth. We serve the insured, uninsured and poorly insured, and offer a sliding fee scale for clients who cannot afford to pay the full cost of mental health counseling. Over fifty percent of clients used Daemion's sliding fee scale and many received counseling free during this fiscal year due to the pandemic. No one is turned away for the lack of ability to pay for care. Financial Narrative for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2023: The fiscal year ended June 30, 2023 was a normal year financially for Daemion Counseling Center, Inc.
