By formalizing the early learning centers K2 Academy business plan, Harambee looks forward to securing a location for the early learning center in 2019, in order to begin programming. Harambee has been successful in fulfilling the areas of the HIRE program goal for this year. HIRE programs purpose is to provide quality housing in the Philadelphia Community. There are specific measurables and standards in order for a property to be designated a HIRE property. Mentorship is one of them. This component of the process involved choosing groups of 3-10 young adults between the age of 16-24, and have them participate in the entire property acquisition process. This includes modeling the roles of the following participants, Investor, Realtor, Financer, Credit Counselor, Contractor, Interior Designer etc.
