AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND HOME OWNERSHIP PROGRAM: NHS OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY DISTRIBUTES PROGRAM INFORMATION AND ADMINISTERS THE HOME OWNERSHIP OUTREACH PROGRAM (HOOP) IN THE CITY OF ALLENTOWN, CITY OF BETHLEHEM, CITY OF EASTON, AND LEHIGH AND NORTHAMPTON COUNTY. THE STAFF QUALIFIES APPLICANTS FOR THIS HOMEBUYER MORTGAGE PROGRAM. NHS OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY FACILITATES AND ORIGINATES SOFT SECOND MORTGAGES OR GRANTS TO ASSIST WITH DOWN PAYMENT AND CLOSING COSTS FOR FIRST TIME HOMEBUYERS THAT FALL WITHIN THE APPROVED LOW-TO-MODERATE HUD INCOME GUIDELINES. 2024 PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS: OUR TOTAL NHSLV LOAN PORTFOLIO REMAINED STRONG RELATIVE TO THE NATIONAL ECONOMY DESPITE THE LARGE NUMBERS OF PAST DUE LOANS. 2 LOANS WERE PASSED DUE AS OF DECEMBER 31ST OUT OF A TOTAL PORTFOLIO OF 74 LOANS.
