Revenue fell 99% from the prior year — a significant decline worth monitoring. Expenses of $351K exceeded revenue, resulting in a 561% operating deficit.
FLTC operated the Philadelphia Nursing Home on behalf of the City of Philadelphia. On October 30, 2022, the City of Philadelphia closed the Philadelphia Nursing Home due to a declining census, rising cost and an aging physical plant. Prior to the closure, FLTC provided nursing home services primarily to indigent residents of Philadelphia, including daily routine nursing care, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, recreational therapy, routine physician services, specialty physician services, and mental health services. From November 1, 2022 until June 30, 2023, FLTC maintained the Philadelphia Nursing Home building and campus on behalf of the City of Philadelphia. The City of Philadelphia reimbursed FLTC for these services at cost. FLTC is now currently in the process of dissolving and will transfer its remaining assets to Temple University Hospital, Inc. for the benefit of its Episcopal Campus.
