RHODODENDRON PRESERVE: THE MATURE FORESTS AND SALMON-BEARING STREAMS WITHIN THIS UNIQUE PRESERVE PROVIDE A GLIMPSE OF NATURAL HABITATS WITH MINIMAL HUMAN IMPACT. THE PRESERVE IS COMPRISED OF 466 ACRES OF LAND MANAGED FOR CONSERVATION AND LOW-IMPACT VISITOR ACCESS. THE MATURE CONIFER FORESTS AND STREAMS ARE HOME TO BEAR, BOBCAT AND SEVERAL SPECIES OF SALMON. THE FOUNDATION ALSO PARTNERS WITH GIRL SCOUTS OF AMERICA IN A TREE PLANTING PROGRAM ON THE PRESERVE. KETA LEGACY FOUNDATION PLAYED HOST AND PROVIDED DOCENTS FOR THE ANNUAL SALMON TOURS EVENT AT THE RHODODENDRON PRESERVE. THIS ANNUAL EVENT PROVIDES CLOSE UP EXPERIENCES FOR THE PUBLIC TO SEE SPAWNING SALMON IN THEIR NATIVE HABITAT.
