IN 2024, DENVER AUDUBON EXPANDED ITS IMPACT ACROSS THE METRO REGION THROUGH EDUCATION, CONSERVATION, AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT. WE SERVED 47 SCHOOLS WITH CLASSROOM AND FIELD-BASED PROGRAMS THAT BUILD ECOLOGICAL LITERACY, SCIENTIFIC THINKING, AND CONSERVATION ETHICS. WE STRENGTHENED OUR ENGAGEMENT WORK THROUGH INCREASED FIELD TRIPS, COMMUNITY EVENTS, AND PLACE-BASED PROGRAMS ROOTED IN LOCAL NEIGHBORHOODS. AT THE AUDUBON NATURE CENTER AT CHATFIELD STATE PARK, WE OFFERED PROGRAMS FOR ALL AGES, INCLUDING SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS, FAMILY PROGRAMS, ADULT EDUCATION, AND COMMUNITY NATURALIST TRAINING. OUR BIRD BANDING RESEARCH STATION CONTINUED TO CONNECT THOUSANDS OF PARTICIPANTS WITH HANDS-ON CONSERVATION SCIENCE.
