The Society maintains a historical museum complex west of McMinnville, OR, the county seat. The museum acts as a repository for artifacts, articles and family history, servicing approximately 6000 visitors per year. The Society reaches out to the community through its newsletter, school and civic presentations, and oral history projects. At this Yamhill Valley Heritage Center, the Society holds a Farm Festival in the spring, where crops are sown with antique equipment. The crops are later harvested during the Hay Day and Harvest Festival, again with historic machinery and methods. During the Christmas season, the Society sponsors a "Hand-made Holidays" festival featuring local arts and crafts for purchase as gifts, as well as displays of its collections of historic memorabilia and equipment. "Vintage Baseball" shows how baseball was played in the 1880s. All events are open to the public.
