This fiscal year we distributed food to nearly 31,000 food insecure residents of Yolo County each month including families, children, seniors, homeless and veterans, totaling nearly 10 million pounds.Despite being known for an abundant agricultural economy, access to nutritious food is an everyday concern for many Yolo County residents, with 20% or more of the population affected. As many as one in four children do not have enough healthy food to eat, senior citizens and rural residents are disproportionately impacted, as are the working poor and their families, the recently unemployed, veterans, students, the homeless and migrant farm workers. By providing for the nourishment of our most vulnerable neighbors, Yolo Food Bank is a partner in raising the quality of life for all who live and do business in Yolo County.

Our Public Community Food Distributions are a direct food distribution program offering healthy produce, dairy, meat, bread, and non-perishable grocery items to individuals and families at 19 locations in Yolo County. Every month, Yolo Food Bank partners with civic and private organizations to serve an average of 9,300 participants.
