The musuem has 2 full time employees and approximately 60 volunteers. Revenue is recieved from grants from the Town of Wilkesboro and the county of Wilkes plus other various sources. The musuem attracts over 10,000 visitors annually from numerous states and foreign countries.

The Organization mananges the Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame which showcases and preserves the rich musical heritage associated with the Blue Ridge Mountians. The Hall of Fame is a major component of the museum. There is a committee that consists of staff, board members, community leaders, musicians and lovers of music that is tasked with overseeing nominations and inductions annually of at least 6 people into the hall of fame. An induction ceremony is held annually to recognize the awardees. Sponsorships and grants are sought to offset expenditures.
