PJFL OPERATES A CONTACT FOOTBALL LEAGUE WHERE EVERY PARTICIPANT IS ASSIGNED A TEAM AND EVERY PLAYER PLAYS A FULL GAME. OVER 1000 YOUTHS ARE SERVED. WE TEACH THE FUNDAMENTALS OF CONTACT FOOTBALL AND CHEERLEADING. ALL PLAYERS ARE GROUPED BY AGE, WEIGHT AND EXPERIENCE. THEREFORE EACH PLAYER PLAYS FOOTBALL WITH CHILDREN OF SIMILAR TALENTS, ABILITY, AGE, GRADE AND SIZE. CONTACT FOOTBALL IS OPEN TO BOYS AND GIRLS IN THE 2ND THROUGH 8TH GRADE. TEAMS PRACTICE 3 TIMES PER WEEK BEGINNING IN EARLY AUGUST AND PLAY GAMES ON SATURDAY'S STARTING IN SEPTEMBER AT PLEASANTON SPORTS PARK. THE PJFL SEASON CONSISTS OF 8 REGULAR SEASON GAMES FOLLOWED BY YEAR-END TOURNAMENT. ALL PLAYERS ARE PROVIDED WITH THE NECESSARY SAFETY EQUIPMENT NEEDED TO PLAY INCLUDING THEIR HELMET, MOUTHGUARD, SHOULDER PADS,PANTS AND KNEE/HIP/THIGH PADS. ALL PLAYERS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND "EVALUATION WEEK" WHERE THEY ARE PUT THROUGH AN ARRAY OF FOOTBALL DRILLS DESIGNED TO SHOWCASE THEIR TALENTS AND ABILITIES AND TO DETERMINE THE PROP
