These hours included the following activities: Honor Guard for Funerals, Driving Veterans to doctor appointments, 3 community picnics (at no charge) where games were provided. At these picnics there were water slides, plenty of food, and 10 bicycles were given away.

Additional benefits provided to veterans: This VFW provides facilities for veterans to go to as a home away from home. Many veterans have issues in their lives they have to deal with daily. This VFW provides a way for these veterans to know they are not alone. This is a place where they can share their stories and heal and grow both physically and mentally. There are many activies which aid in comradship development. Twice a month free meals are provided to veterans. Veterans can also receive assistance in filing VA claims. This organization also visits and provides small gifts for veterans who are confined to nursing homes.

Donations to the Community: Awards and Scholarships are provided for junior high and high school students. Donations are also provided to award winners for police officers, fire fighters, EMT, and school teachers. The first Sunday in May is when a loyalty day dinner occurs. This dinner is where many of these awards are presented.
