WE PURCHASED QUICKBOOKS ONLINE.WE UPDATED OUR LIST OF ASSETS AND APPROVED A FORMAL POLICY FOR BOARD APPROVAL FOR THE PURCHASE OF CAPITAL ASSETS GREATER THAN $5,000.THE CONVENTION AND OUR THREE EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES WERE WELL ATTENDED.THE SCHOLARSHIP AUCTION AT OUR CONVENTION WHICH BENEFITS THE MISS. POULTRY FOUNDATION RAISED THE MOST MONEY IN ITS 20-YEAR HISTORY.MEMBERS CONTRIBUTE REGULARLY TO OUR POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE AND WE WERE ABLE TO ASSIST A NUMBER OF CANDIDATES IN LEGISLATIVE SPECIAL ELECTIONS IN 2025.PROCESSOR MEMBERS GENEROUSLY DONATE CHICKEN AND EGGS TO OUR ANNUAL FOOD DONATION TO THE GOVERNOR WHO LAST YEAR DIRECTED THE DONATION TO TWO CHARITIES.MPA MEMBERS AND STAFF WERE REPRESENTED ON NUMEROUS BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND OTHER ASSOCIATION BOARDS SUCH AS THE EMERGENCY ROAD AND BRIDGE REPAIR FUND ADVISORY BOARD, THE EGG MARKETING BOARD, THE MISSISSIPPI AGRICULTURE AND FORESTRY MUSEUM FOUNDATION BOARD, THE MISSISSIPPI WORKERS COMPENSATION ADVISORY COUNCIL, THE BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY POLITICAL EDUCATION COMMITTEE, AMONG OTHERS.
