Regular Meetings occur seven times per year and represent approximately 70 percent of the time spent by the volunteer Officers, Directors and membership. Meetings are funded by the membership, whereby costs of the rented space and other expenses are paid by the Association, with the Association being repaid through subsequent assessments of the membership. Meetings provide venue for the general business, meeting procedures, informal membership interaction and discussion, and committee activities. Matters addressed concern industry best practices, conditions under which the industry operates, ethical issues raised by the Board or membership, collection and dissemination of technical and industry data, and communication of industry concerns or practices. Meetings provide venue for membership to collaborate on better industry practices. Guests within the industry are often invited to support better industry practices. Meeting activities include the activities of the Association's Committee's, including the Labor Committee, which concerns collective bargaining agreements applicable to Member organizations.
