Turkey Hill Ranch Bible Camp was founded in 1972 on a rural farm in Vienna, Missouri. The goal at the beginning was to start a small Bible camp to share the gospel with kids. The first week of camp was held in 1975 with 20 boys and a handful of faithful volunteers in attendance. Since then, the Lord has been faithful to grow the camp beyond what the founders could have asked or imagined. Today Turkey Hill runs over 20 separate week-long summer camp programs in addition to weekend and family retreats throughout the year, ministering to thousands of people every year.Campers enjoy the beauty of Gods creation while participating in many activities throughout the 800-acre property. Souls saved, souls discipled, souls sent out is the mission of Turkey Hill, and these three aspects are at the heart of the camp programming. Every camper and staff member attends two chapel services every day at camp in addition to having daily cabin devotionals and staff prayer. Weekly activities include tube floats, trail rides, R/C cars, crafts, swimming in the lake and pool, playing games in the gym, mini golf, and team activities and events. All activities are run by our volunteer staff. During an average camp day, about 25% of the day is meals, 25% is chapel and devotional time, and the remaining 50% is camp activities (with 30% being free-time activities and 20% being team activities). Camp is funded by a combination of camper fees and donations from churches and individuals. Each activity serves to further the mission of camp by either providing explicit evangelism and/or discipleship or providing opportunities for these disciplines.
