THE FOUNDATION ALSO SPONSORS AND SUPPORTS PUBLIC EDUCATION PROGRAMS TO EDUCATE ABOUT THE NEED FOR ORGAN AND TISSUE DONORS. PROGRAMS ARE SELECTED THROUGH GRANT APPLICATIONS WHICH EXEMPLIFY WAYS TO CREATE A CULTURE OF ACCEPTANCE FOR ORGAN AND TISSUE DONATION IN MICHIGAN. THE FOUNDATION ALSO SUPPORTS LECTURE SERIES AND RESEARCH GRANT PROGRAMS TO ENCOURAGE ACADEMIC PARTICIPATION.
