Rescue: Pantry feeding the hungry has always been an integral part of Christian Community Actions (CCA) mission to provide to those in need. In 1989, CCA staff began regularly stocking a small office closet with donated food for clients. Today, CCA operates one of the largest client-choice food pantries in North Texas, providing essential food, personal hygiene, and household needs to more than 2,700 individuals every week. The CCA food pantry has been voted the #1 food pantry in North Texas for the last 7 years. CCAs client-choice distribution model empowers clients to choose which foods they will take home, providing flexibility and preserving the dignity of the client receiving assistance. With 40-60% of their food needs provided by CCAs food pantry, families can reserve their limited household income for other essentials.

Rescue: Housing Stability Christian Community Action (CCA) provides comprehensive services designed to promote housing stability, financial security, and long-term transformation for individuals and families in crisis. Through faith-based case management, financial assistance, and supportive programming, CCA helps restore dignity and independence to those facing homelessness or imminent risk of housing loss. CCAs case managers meet with each client in prayer, offering spiritual and emotional encouragement alongside practical support. For individuals experiencing homelessness, CCAs Rapid Rehousing program provides long-term rental assistance and case management for up to twelve months. Relief Services CCA provides seasonal and emergency relief services that address the immediate needs of vulnerable children, families, and seniors. Through the Kids Eat Free summer feeding program, CCA distributed 54,006 nutritious meals to 1,007 children ages 017. The Back-to-School program equipped 696 students with brand-new clothing, backpacks, and school supplies through partnerships with local retailers, promoting dignity and confidence as they began the academic year. During the Christmas Cheer program, 1,048 children received gifts and holiday items valued at approximately $200 per child, while 127 seniors received gifts valued at $100 each. In addition, seniors benefited from $21,590 in transportation vouchers for grocery access and participated in weekly hot meals, devotionals, and fellowship activities that enhanced their social connection and quality of life.
