TO ESTABLISH AT GETTYSBURG COLLEGE, OF WHICH HE WAS A TRUSTEE AND ON WHOSE CAMPUS HE MAINTAINED HIS GETTYSBURG OFFICE, AN ENDOWMENT FOR THE DIGNIFIED AND SCHOLARLY ANNUAL OBSERVANCE OF HIS BIRTHDAY BY EXAMINATION AND PRESENTATION OF THE MANY FACETS OF HIS CAREER AS A DEDICATED CITIZEN, CHURCHMAN, EDUCATOR, MILITARY LEADER, STATESMAN AND WORLD FIGURE; TO PUBLISH AND DISTRIBUTE THE ANNUAL PROGRAM IN RECORDED FORM TO SECONDARY SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES, AND LIBRARIES, AS PERMANENT REFERENCE MATERIAL.TO WORK TOWARD THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN EISENHOWER CHAIR OF OTHER EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES AT GETTYSBURG COLLEGE.
