Train and encourage members and public applicants in safe firarms use and to encourage and facilitate participation in the shooting sports. We do this by: Providing two safe, well lit indoor firing ranges with ten and six shooting ports respectively, sponsoring teams competing in Greater Boston Pistol League, sponsoring team competition in Eastern Massachusetts High Power Rifle competition, and conducting: National Rifle Association and Massachusetts sanctioned Basic Pistol Course six to eight four week sessions during the fall, winter and spring; informal shooting competition in Steel, Bowling Pins, IDPA and PPC styles and lastly, a family oriented Turkey Shoot where closely supervised children and adults shoot a target rifle at a lucky target with winners receiving a gift certificate as prize. Added a retired police officer license renewal course and a Throom course for general shooter skill improvement.
