TO SIMULATE SELF IMPROVEMENT IN THE MEMBERSHIPB. TO ENCOURAGE SUPPORT OF ALL WORTHWHILE MUSICAL ACTIVITIES WHICH CONTRIBUTE TO THE CULTURAL GROWTH OF OUR NATIONC. TO FURTHER STUDENT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL IN THE FIELD OF MUSICD. TO SUPPORT TEXAS MUSIC TEACHERS EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION, A PERMANENT ORGANIZATION, WHOSE PURPOSE IS TO FUND STUDENT AWARDS
