Places for People's adult mental health, residential and substance use programs partner with persons served to address mental illness, homelessness, trauma, substance use disorders, and serious health problems. Teams coordinate medical and psychiatric care, substance use treatment, housing, medication management, activities of daily living, treatment planning and goal setting, linkage with community resources, supportive counseling, and crisis intervention. Places For People's children and youth programs offer services for youth experiencing behavioral health problems, including court interventions, by providing intensive in-home family centered services. In addition, children services provide an early intervention program that helps address behavioral concerns and offers positive strategies for promoting good behavior. The Behavioral Health Center of Excellence, Illume, is a collaborative program that promotes, collaborates, and trains partners, both regional and world-wide, in evidence-based practices in behavioral health.
