Community Supports- Goodwill offers several different services such as Community Participation Supports, Small Group Employment, Transition Program and Transportation Services. -- Community Participation Supports-Pre-Employment service focuses on individuals with intellectual and development disabilities are given the opportunities for new experiences and interests, the potential to develop friendships and the ability to make a contribution to their community. Small Group Employment-Focused on the individuals skill level and ability, it supports individuals who are transitioning to competitive integrated employment through a work experience. Transitiion Program-program focuses on high school students transitioning into the community. It helps to build their confidence and socialization.

Community Employment - Goodwill provides hands-on job training to those facing barriers to employment, such as physical and/or intellectual disabilities, incarceration and dependencies. Assisted by a certified Employment Specialist, the participants gain training in interviewing skills, proper hygiene, dress code and other areas of job readiness. The jobs pay the same wage and benefits received by other employees. The Employment Specialist/Job Coach accompanies participants to their job toensure satisfactory performance.

Thrift Stores - Goodwill Industries of NEPA accepts donations of clothing and household goods form the public. These donations are processed in our donations centers and sold in our retail stores throughout our service area. These facilities provide employment and training to many individuals with disabilities ot other barriers to employment. Revenue from the sale of donated goods goes directly to support our other community-based services. This program strengthens families in need and promotes self-sufficiency, improving the lives of those we serve.
