2024-2025 YPO GOLD LEARNING PROGRAMTHE 2024-25 LEARNING YEAR KICKED OFF WITH A SOLID SCHEDULE OF PROGRAMMING. THE CHAPTER WAS EXCITED TO HAVE PLANS IN PLACE AFTER NEARLY 2 YEARS OF EVENTS THAT COULD BE CANCELED AT ANY MOMENT. TRADITIONALLY, THE CALENDAR DOES NOT BEGIN UNTIL AFTER LABOR DAY, BUT TO ENSURE NICE WEATHER, YPO GOLD HOSTED BOTH A GOLF EVENT/SOCIAL AS WELL AS A JAZZ MUSICAL EVENING IN THE SUMMER. THE THEME FOR THE 2024-2025 YEAR WAS GOLD HITS. A NOD TO JOHN LACARTE'S LOVE OF MUSIC AND EVENTS THAT WOULD RESONATE WITH SO MANY GOLD PITTSBURGH MEMBERS. SEE CONTINUATION ON SCHEDULE O. THE CHAPTER HOSTED A SOCIAL EVENT AT THE CITY WINERY WITH A STEVIE NICKS COVER BAND. IN SEPTEMBER, THE CHAPTER HOSTED POLITICAL ANALYST CHRIS STIREWALT AND HAD A LIVELY DISCUSSION ABOUT THE UPCOMING ELECTION. OCTOBER EVENTS INCLUDED A BUSINESS PROGRAM WITH EOS FACILITATOR MIKE PATTON AND A JOINT CHAPTER EVENT WITH THE NETFLIX SERIES HOST OF THE BLUE ZONES. DAN BUETTNER SPOKE TO THE GROUP ABOUT LONGEVITY AT THE PITTSBURGH BOTANIC GARDEN. THIS PROGRAM WON AN AWARD FOR YPO. NOVEMBER ALLOWED THE CHAPTER TO INTERVIEW FELLOW MEMBER SUNIL WADHWANI AND THE ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARTY WAS HOSTED AT ALLA FAMIGLIA WITH A RESTAURANT BUY-OUT. AS 2025 KICKED OFF, YPO GOLD MEMBER, GLEN MEAKEM SHARED HIS STORY OF HIS BUSINESS JOURNEY. FOLLOWED BY AN INTIMATE EVENING WITH HALL OF FAME PITCHER, STEVE BLASS. THIS BASEBALL INSPIRED PROGRAM WAS HELD AT THE CLEMENTE MUSEUM.SEVERAL COUPLES ENJOYED QUIET WELLNESS RETREAT AT CANYON RANCH IN MASSACHUSETTS. IN THE SPRING, YPO PREPARED FOR THE US OPEN AT OAKMONT AND HOSTED, BLIND GOLFER, JEREMY POINCENOT. US OPEN AT OAKMONT WAS A GREAT WEEK OF GOLF FOR CHAPTER MEMBERS IN THE SUITES ON 13. A SPECTACULAR VANTAGE POINT OF SOME AMAZING GOLF AND MEMBER CONNECTION. LASTLY, YPO PITTSBURGH CELEBRATED THE GRADUATION OF FIVE MEMBERS WHO JOINED THE YPO GOLD CHAPTER IN THE FALL OF 2025.
