From July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, GlobalPittsburgh continued to advance its mission of fostering international understanding, collaboration, and professional development through dynamic international exchange programming. During the fiscal year, we hosted a diverse slate of international delegations spanning leadership, technology, energy, governance, and civil society sectors. These programs included 11 International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) projects; a cohort of Uzbekistan Business Leaders; 20 Yasuda University students; two Distinguished Humphrey Fellowship Program participants; fellows from the Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative (YTILI PFP) and the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI PFP); and six delegates from Serbia participating in the Open World Program, along with numerous hospitality dinners hosted by local families.Throughout the year, GlobalPittsburgh organized a range of community engagement and cultural exchange events, including Global Intersector events, the Global Quizburgh trivia competition, cultural nights featuring Tango Velvet, an Ethiopian Coffee event, and An Evening of Flamenco. These events were strategically designed to broaden community awareness of GlobalPittsburghs work, strengthen partnerships with local cultural organizations, and create meaningful platforms for networking and collaboration between international guests and Pittsburgh-area professionals. In support of this growth, GlobalPittsburgh expanded its network of partners, recruited new host families, and engaged new event vendors, while also identifying prospective opportunities to bring even more community members and visiting foreign leaders together in the future. In addition, we broadened our outreach to participants working in emerging and high-impact sectors, including cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, and sustainability, equipping them with skills and knowledge to address shared global challenges. Feedback from participants and local hosts consistently underscored the mutual benefits of these exchanges, highlighting the value of shared experiences, ideas, and best practices. This ongoing exchange of knowledge and culture not only strengthens international ties but also contributes to the continued development of Pittsburgh as a globally engaged city.
