Mission

Greenwich Autism Aliiance foundation seeks to improve the lives of families with loved ones with autism. GAA GRANT PROGRAM: Families teachers therapists paras and graduate students may apply for grants from $200-$2000 to support families of differently abled children and adults with extra needs. GAA will award grants within the Northwest NJ region Warren Hunterdon and Sussex counties. Some examples of prior GAA Grants include but are not limited to initiatives as follows: - iPad for home and or school use for facilitated communication support maintenance not incl. - Technology enhancements specialized software or iPad apps for school and or home - Proloquo2Go iPad app for home and school use for facilitated communication support - Therapies such as OT Speech social skills group therapies and or therapy co-pays - Parent and or teacher attendance at Autism NJ or Penn State Autism Conferences - Teacher para or parent training or school in-service speakers and awareness assemblies - Special Education books and special education materials for home and or school - Specialty presenters for training in behavioral or special education strategies - Buddy programs Unified sports Unified recreation inclusion events and social skills programs - After school clubs or inclusive recreation opportunities for students and adults with extra needs - Autism Awareness month activities for school or community events - Tuition for summer camp attendance - Funds to enhance summer camp programs and enrichment - Safety swim lessons - Home safety equipment and or tracking systems such as Project Lifesaver Angel Sense etc. - Home therapies such as ABA DIR Behavior support special education training
