HARLEYSVILLE BASEBALL ASSOCIATION'S (HBA) INTRAMURAL PROGRAM SUPPORTS A COMMUNITY OF OVER 1000 LITTLE LEAGUE AND CONNIE MACK BASEBALL PLAYERS THROUGH-OUT THE BASEBALL SEASON. PROGRAMS ARE DEVELOPED FOR BEGINNING BASEBALL PLAYERS (AS YOUNG AS 5) WHO LEARN THE CONCEPTS OF THE GAME ALONG WITH TEAMWORK. AS PLAYERS ADVANCE THROUGH HBA'S AGE BRACKETS, OLDER PLAYERS (10-16) ARE EXPOSED TO OTHER COMMUNITIES' TEAMS AND LEARN HOW TO REPRESENT HARLEYSVILLE BASEBALL AND THEIR COMMUNITY. IN ADDITION, THE LEAGUE HAS BEEN A DISTRICT AND REGIONAL SPONSOR FOR THE PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES HOME RUN DERBY AND OTHER LOCAL CHARITIES BY DONATING ITS FIELDS, ITS FACILITY AND ITS FINANCIAL RESOURCES.
