YOUNG ACTORS PROJECT PROVIDES AFTER-SCHOOL CLASSES AND SUMMER CAMPS TO 375 YOUTH AND CREATES SPECIAL THEATRICAL EVENTS FOR THE COMMUNITY TO ATTEND. WE INCLUDE CHILDREN WHO ARE ON THE AUTISM SPECTRUM AND THOSE WITH PHYSICAL AND LEARNING DISABILITIES INTO OUR PROGRAMS. SINCE 2005, YOUNG ACTORS PROJECT HAS PRODUCED UP TO 15 LIVE PRODUCTIONS EACH YEAR.OUR ENTITY WAS FULLY OPERATIONAL AT THE BEGINNING OF 2020, AND WE WERE ABLE TO PRODUCE ONE YOUTH & TEEN IMPROV SHOW ON FRIDAY MARCH 8, 2020. HOWEVER, THE THEATRES THAT WE CONDUCT REHEARSALS AND PERFORMANCES IN WERE CLOSED ON MARCH 11, 2020, DUE TO THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC, AND PRODUCTIONS OF THREE PLAYS HAD TO BE HALTED. WE ARE CURRENTLY MAKING PLANS FOR REOPENING AND RESUMING OUR HALTED PRODUCTIONS, UNFORTUNATELY AT PRESENT THE VENUES WE OPERATE IN REMAIN CLOSED.
