Potential Energy carried out the marketing, sales, and distribution of over 5,200 energy saving biomass and electric cookstoves throughout Uganda. We also trained each user on how to properly use the stove and carried out awareness campaigns on the environmental, financial and health benefits of improved cooking, impacting the lives of 26,800 Ugandans. We worked together with other 12 other NGOs to reach rural and peri-urban areas of the country covering 15 districts. The organization also attended a global forum on carbon credits in New York to learn the latest policies regarding carbon finance and attract buyers for our credits. We sold over 50,000 tons of credits to help subsidize the cost of the stoves to the end users in Uganda. We also revamped our carbon tracking system and designed an app to track users better while also seeking out grant funding.
