CLOVERFIELD-KINGSTON HOUSE (CLKH) IS A 102-UNIT HUD SECTION 202/8 PROJECT THAT PROVIDES HOUSING FOR HOUSEHOLDS IN WHICH THE HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD IS ELDERLY, OR DISABLED AND REQUIRES THE FEATURES OF A UNIT FOR THE MOBILITY-IMPAIRED. THE PROJECT HAS TWO LOCATIONS IN YORK, PA: 1500 RODNEY ROAD IN WEST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, AND 1243 W. KING STREET IN WEST YORK BOROUGH. THE LOCATION ON RODNEY ROAD IS TWO STORIES AND HAS 24 UNITS. THE LOCATION ON W. KING STREET IS THREE STORIES AND HAS 78 UNITS. BOTH LOCATIONS ARE DESIGNED TO MEET THE PHYSICAL NEEDS OF THE ELDERLY AND/OR DISABLED WITH BOTH BUILDINGS BEING ACCESSIBLE. CLKH ALSO HAS ACCESSIBLE UNITS THAT MEET THE NEEDS FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH MOBILITY IMPAIRMENTS AND FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH HEARING IMPAIRMENTS. CLKH IS DESIGNED TO MEET THE RECREATIONAL NEEDS OF RESIDENTS AND INCLUDES LARGE LAWN AREAS, HORSESHOE PITS, AND RAISED FLOWER BEDS. COMMUNITY ROOMS AND PATIOS OFFER AREAS FOR RESIDENTS TO SOCIALIZE. A SERVICE COORDINATOR IS ALSO ON STAFF TO COORDINATE EXTERNAL RESOURCES/SERVICES WHICH ENABLE RESIDENTS TO MAINTAIN THEIR INDEPENDENT STATUS.
